In a hospital..
Room no 401

"The person you are trying to call is not available."

"Samrat, Pick up the phone.
How could you do this to me??"

And opened her whatsApp where she saw the messages she sent for which there was no reply.

'Why aren't you answering my calls.'

'Pick up my call'

'Aren't you going to pay my hospital bills? '

'Hey Samrat, just give me back my money.
I need to pay hospital bills... '
And many more..

With a sigh, she wondered, 'I have only few months to live. Is that too much for him to stay by my side? I am his wife. At least he could do this much for me'
With this she left the room.

Outside the room,
Nurse 1: How's the patient in room no 401?

Nurse 2: Not great. The doctor said she has only few months to live. I haven't seen her husband visit her since she was admitted here...And even her hospital bills haven't been paid. Must be tough for him.

Nurse 1: She's so young. I feel so bad for her. Let's do our best to take good care of her.

She enters her room and says, 'Ms. Siya, it's time for your medicines'
But finds the bed empty. And wonders, 'Where did she go? '

Meanwhile outside the hospital

The same girl waited and hired a taxi and asked the taxi driver to drop her at her apartment.

As she looked outside the window, she experienced the cool wind on her face..and wondered..

'Summers turned into winters while I layed in my bed succumbed to cancer.'

Looking at her weak appearance and sad face , the taxi driver asked her, "Miss, you seem to be very ill. "

"Yes",she replied

" Don't worry , I hope you will get better in no time"

Hearing this she got emotional and thought, " He speaks like my dad. I miss you Dad.." Soon her eyes filled with tears..

'Siya Beta , come have your food.' A man called his 10 year old daughter for lunch.(beta - daughter)

'Yes Appa, but I will eat only if you feed me with your hands.'. ( Appa- Father)

'Okay , my dear princess . I will feed you with my own hands.
Happy?'

'A lot'

"Ma'am , where are you lost . Please don't cry . Soon you will get better."

Hearing this she came out of her childhood memories .

"Cheer up ma'am. There goes a saying,
' Today is a gift . It is the future they wish for before they died.."

" I don't think I want to live tomorrow
even if it's my last day in Earth today ..
It's not anything good will happen tomorrow "

" What do you mean?? You can always make good things happen.
Ohh , by the way we reached your destination"

She gave him a 500 Rs note for the fare ..as her taxi fare was 80Rs
She told him she doesn't have any change.

He gave her a chocolate and replied,
" Think of me as a father and keep it with you.

Everything will be fine beti. You will get your happy ending.. You will meet a good man who will be head over heels for you and love you till now extent .
You will live a good life and achieve your dreams."

' Today is my last day and you are my last customer.
Just promise me that you will live a happy life and no need to pay the taxi fare . That's all I ask"

" Okay uncle, I promise and thank you....
He left from there

".. for giving me a beautiful memory in this awful life"

She opened her apartment door.
And thought how many months it had been since she last visited it .

But soon she came out of her thoughts when she saw a purple heels at her doorstep .

" These heels ...I gifted then to Alia last year. What are they doing here?? Is she present here??"

She heard few sounds coming out from her bedroom and saw a man in his underpants and a woman on her bed naked under the sheets
' And after I get deposit, let's move out from here '
' How much did you say was the deposit ? I want to live a new apartment, honey'

'Of course let's move to a new apartment as soon as I get insurance money'
' How much was the insurance ?'
' 80 lakhs'
'That 's a lot of money '
' I heard even her dad had gastric cancer and it was hereditary. She had frequent stomach pains and digestive problems so I figured it out. And took out an insurance on her name'

' Honey, will you buy me the latest edition handbag'
' Of course , soon she will be dead in 5 months and we will get the money and buy you everything you want'

"Says who" Siya said and entered the room.
Hearing this . He saw her and screamed" Siya , I can explain. It's not what you think"

Siya said , " You ba****d, you think I will let you get away with this.
I will file for a divorce and expose you evil ideas. How could you cheat me and that too with my best friend?"

" Don't you think about insurance money . I will get back every single penny I have wasted on you"

The woman got up by covering herself with bedsheets and said,
" Siya , Please try to understand. We are friends afterall... Infact best friends..."

"Friends..?? Friends don't sleep with their friend's spouse and plan about her insurance after her death "

"Siya,Please don't inform anyone at our workplace or families.. I will be ruined.. Please think about my reputation ", she cried ..

"Are you seriously going to think about your coworkers and family and reputation right now??" Siya asked with disbelief.

"I have my whole life ahead of me and you are going to die anyway "

"Alia, I am going to kill you... How could you say like this??" ,Saying this she grabbed her hair and started pulling it.

Alia shouted," Samrat, please save me"

Samrat moved forward and tried to move her hands from Alia's hair and slapped Siya due to which she fell on the floor and hold Alia.

"Did you just hit me..?",asked Siya with disbelief on her face..
."Yes that's what you get for ruining our lives.. And you bi**h, you just tried to hit Alia...
And You are going to die anyway so just get out quietly and don't create any scene "

Siya said with tears in her eyes,
"And whose fault is that , I am on my deathbed??
It's all because of you and your parents.. Your mom always taunted me for growing without a mother .. and I had manage all th household chores as well as my job... While you just spent my savings on stocks and vent your anger on me.
You guessed that I might have a cancer and did not inform me.

I would have lived if I would have gotten to hospital sooner .. You murderer.. I am going to take you all down with me. I refuse to go out quietly."

Hearing this Samrat got angry and pushed her which resulted in her fall and her head for crashed on a glass shelf and blood gushed out of her forehead and she fell on the floor

"Fuck" said Samrat.
H..el..p" ,Siya cried expecting Samrat and Alia to save her for the sake of their marriage and their friendship
"Is she dead?" Asked Alia
"Anyway she was about to die "said Samrat

Hearing this Siya lost all her hopes of them saving her and looked at them with tears of betrayal and lost her unconscious.

Doctor gave her 5 months to live and maximum 10 months if she was lucky.

But Siya died at age of 35.

She didn't even get to live her last days..

'Siya, Get up .Lunch break is over . You have a lot of pending work." Called a lady to another who was sleeping resting her head on the table.

"Huh.." Other lady got up

"Did you not get a good sleep last night. You look tired already.
Are you okay , Siya?"

Siya rubbed her eyes wore her specs and saw the lady and said
"But you... quit job 7 years ago."
"What are you saying ? I never left my job and I have been working here since 5 years so how could I leave it 7years ago...
Anyway leave it . I guess you are still dreaming.. Get up and freshen up.I am leaving then "

Siya got up and rushed to the restroom and saw a mirror...
" How am I alive ?? I died right??
I look 10 years younger than usual .
I was slapped and beaten to death by Samrat.. So how come I am alive??"

Just then her mobile rang and she took it out from her jeans pocket.

" It's my old phone from 10 years ago .. with my and his pic as wallpaper..
And the date .. just a minute...

Whattt..???

Date is 2 March 2014 .... But
I died on 2 March 2024 right..."

She realised that after living a life full of betrayal from her husband And beat friend she transfered back to 10 years ago..

'Am i dreaming right now?'
She pinched herself and realised that it's the truth

Just the she heard someone call her
And rushed out of the restroom

"Siya"

"Samrat.."

"What the hell...."she was shocked and terrified seeing him and wondered 'what is he doing here'

"Siya you weren't in your seat so I came to see you. Are you okay?
You don't look well .. Maybe you should take leave and rest.

Do you want me to get you medicine??"
